Morning guys, need some help find the part number and also where I can purchase the item. I have a homemade looking hose that has been on the truck since I purchased it and it seems to work fine but I would like to replace it with an original part or replacement. Pretty sure it is a crankcase ventilationhose. My truck is a 2003 2.3 liter. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I think someone installed the wrong PCV. Your PCV should fit into a grommet in the top of the valve cover. Then, probably a short rubber hose to attach it to the plastuc pipe you have marked. Although that plastuc pipe may be incorrect.

that is the fresh air going into the crankcase via the valve cover. the PCV is on the side of the block, driver side.
that actually looks like the correct tube, but it was cut and spliced back together.
because it is before the throttle body there is no pressure in that tube.

being an emission part Ford may still list it, that's a long shot at best.
beware, many of the emission hoses/tubes have the same part number, it's the suffix of -A or AA or BA that identifies the individual tubes.

by 2005 the tube changed when plastic valve covers appeared.

a few years ago when I swapped a 2002 engine into my 2005 that hose was the only one I had to improvise.
I still have that tube, but it's about 3 years deep into a pile of parts someplace, I think.

It sure APPEARS that somebody installed a PCV there. Maybe they couldn't find the actual PCV.
