need some help fixing up the ol 93 ranger

hey yall out there .. im new to this site:icon_confused: so bear with me lol .. but yeah .. im looking for a little .. well .. allota help in the end .. but a lil for now .. im trying to lift my 93 v6 3.0 5 speed 2wd ranger .. buuut .. im not looking to buy expencive lift kits or put it in the shop .. im looking for a rigged lift bascally .. i just want about 2-3 inches and at most 4 .. and im wondering if yall have any ideas like .. using blocks of metal .. or you know somthin custum bascally .. :icon_welder: but yeah .. all the kits ive seen use blocks and stuff allong them lines so im thinkin .. why cant i just make sumthing my self ? but yeah .. just reply on here or if you got any ideas email me .. king.usmc91@yahoo.com .. ide really appreciaate it
 
You could make your own body blocks, but there is a lot more to a BL then that. You'll have to relocate your radiator, bumpers, extend a few ground wires, your fuel filler tube, E-brake cable, and reinforce your bed to the frame. Also if you have the spare tire that cranks down through the hole in the bumper; then you will have to relocate that as well.

As far as blocks under the leaf springs……I wouldn’t do it. Go with shackles or add-a-leaf, and coil spacers or full size exploder springs in the front. That’ll give you about 2” or so.:icon_twisted:
 
if you have access to a fab facility then you could easily make your own lift. you could do a chevy leaf swap to gain some lift in the back or use belltech shackles. in the front you could use 2" leveling springs with a coil spacer or lower your coil spring buckets in conjunction with the leveling springs. you can expect 3-4 inches with these set ups, but you will need adjustable camber bushings or a good selection of set degree bushings at the alignment shop.
