Finally pulled some money together and I want to buy a ranger this time. I had a dodge and a chevy before, the chevy wasnt to bad until the frame split...but thats a different story. Anyways I got my eye on one right now that a guy is selling locally and I want to know what you guys think.
Its a 1994 splash 4x4 with the 4.0L v6 and a 5-speed. Not sure what "splash" is but he said its like a step up from the xlt. The truck has 156,000 miles on it and seems to run like a top except it has an exhaust leak which appears to be coming from the manifold to ypipe connection. The transmission is newer, it has something like 80k miles on it or something. I took it for a spin and it feels very smooth. The 4x4 works and it has new lockouts up front, so mechanically I suppose its pretty good. The paint is in ok condition and theres a touch of rust around the cab corners and in the wheelwells around the bed, frame appears solid. Interior is in good shape also. I suppose that covers about everything I observed...Im pretty sold on it but I wanted to know what you guys would offer for it? I wish I'd have taken pics...but anyway he wants 3,250 for it.
