Need help


Without a wiring diagram I can not tell you which one is which. Maybe someone else here knows.
 
Yes it is possible and not that hard. Just need to find a good spot to mount it.
 
How do you said to see if the gauge will move
Youll need to figure out which wire goes to the gauge, and ground it out against something metal to see if the gauge pegs on "H".
 
No, removal of the guage cluster is not necessary to ground it at the sender. Purchase a Haynes or Chilton manual and look in the wiring diagrams for which wire you need to ground.

If the guage does not move then removal of the guage cluster will be necessary to test for a bad wire leading to the guage.

How can you tell you got a bad gauge
 
If you ground the guage at the back of the guage cluster and it does not move the guage is bad.
