Need help !

I recently purchased a 1995 xlt super cab ranger with a rebuilt engine and new clutch . I assume the guy kept the same tranny. I noticed when it’s in 1st , 2nd and 3rd gear it makes a noise I think is coming from my clutch . When I accelerate it sounds like something lose is spinning. When shifting from 3rd to 2nd The noise increases . 4th and 5th gear dont have the issue .

I feel your pain!

We went through this with my truck that I picked up about 2 months ago, very very noisy transmission, I had one in storage, basically got this truck for the cost of new tires!

We swapped it out on a long weekend,
These transmissions are pretty easy to find, if you go that route,.

It's an incredibly difficult job if you don't have a lift. But I'm old and my friend that helps me on this stuff is old also.

Even if it's something as simple as a pilot bearing, it all has to come out.
