Have an 84 bronco ll that I want to cut the roof off. Will a ranger tailgate mount in place of the rear hatch?

It's not a direct swap, but its easier than chopping the roof off correctly. The hinges have to be mounted if you don't have a split gate and the opening is a bit narrower, but it has been done.
