my little rackbodys engine turns over but wont start ONLY after i start it and run it. if i turn it off it wont start back up unless i crank it for about 1 minute or wait a few hours, or throw my jump box on it. i still need to change the fuel filter but what else could be the problem. (the pumps work fine)

Ok well i'm very tired but it looks like your saying it almost has a dead battery kinda after you start it and shut it off?

the battery is actually brand new. its just not getting fuel or spark or something.....ive even ran it for like 1 hr once and it still did that.

Ok so it's spinniung over but not starting? Well first thing to do is get a cheap vacuum/ fuel pressure gauge and hook it to the fuel line, next would be get a spark tester, I prefer the kind that look like a spark plug but have no ground electrode. Now attach both and see what you are missing. If it's spark, get a test light and go to coil and make sure you've got power to the coil and then as you spin the engine over the test light should flash on either terminal of the coil. if it does you got a bad coil, or cap, rotor, wires. if it doesnt a module or the pickup is bad.... let me know

well, it starts fine but then if i shut it off after use then try to restart it wont start at all....

I agree. The fuel pump relay would be my first suspect, but find out if you have gas and spark. Only then will you be able to figure out from there what is wrong.
