need help, whats the best ring/ pinion?

im looking to get gears for my D35/8.8 and want to know who makes the best gears, ukon? thanks

Yukons are often reboxed gears of many different brand names. I have found them to overall be good to excellent quality though (they seem to know which ones not to rebox).

Good brands include
Precision Gear
US Gear
Dana Spicer (OEM)


The only one I've frequently heard to stay away from is Genuine Gear (poor setup patterns).

The gears in my BII I bought as Yukons (Front was Precision Gear. The rear I couldn't identify the brand, although the setup pattern on it was awesome). No regrets whatsoever.
