need help now "urgent" no reverse

I just saw this truck on CL. it has no reverse....... any ideas of what might be wrong..........it drives fine besides that! 170k miles http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/cto/1866185142.html

If it's auto maybe check the linkage, and reverse sensor, adjust the low/reverse band or flush fluid and replace filter. Or worse case, get another $200.00 tranny and swap it out!
