Need Front-end Info 94 Ranger 4x4

Front-end Sounds Really Bad When I Engage 4h Or 4l...u-joints Seem Good....front Ring & Pinion?.....looking For New Ones Online, But Not Sure What I'm Looking For....i'm Told It Is All Stock....1994 Ranger Xl Sport, 2.3l, Manual 5 Speed, Vin# 1ft.........anyone Have The gear Info?....any Way For Me To Find It?.....thanks Guys

Auto hubs I assume? They're probably failing as usual. Do a manual hub swap if that's the problem.

It could still be the hubs. When does this noise occur and under what circumstances?

or u coulda bit the dust on ur front u joints, if so itll make one hell of a noise when 4wd is engaged

nvm, just read that u joints look good, ya, sounds like hubs, r&p especially stock ones rarely fail...

not sure about hubs, but lockouts are ok.....look for new thread "94 ranger 4x4 front end problems" for ongoing saga.
