Need fast help...please

do you have fluid in master?

sometimes it helps to unbolt master and hold at better angle to bleed.

the reservoir on my firewall up top? yeah its full

park it on a hill open the bleeder and watch the resivoir to keep it full. Gravity will usually bleed it for you.

yeah. decided to try a new master after telling my story to a tranny guru he said try it. I have one that I know is good and its easy to swap.

cause it went after holding the clutch in for 20 mins ( I had a huge ass order at macdonalds, yeah yeah wasting gas I know). he thinks the plunger in the master crapped out. cause it wouldnt bleed. so hopefully he's right! trying it in the morning prepped tonight with lots of penetrating oil

well bleeding the clutch went well. my clutch feels amazing better than it did for the last few months and my tranny shifts way smoother.

but backing out of the driveway i hear a POP from the rear and lost my brakes....damn

lol wheel cylinder? I think so. no fluid on the ground

Good stuff on the clutch...guess we might see you in the Brake section...lol...

Wheel cylinders are a snap on these vehicles...just make sure you spray down the retainer nuts on the backing plate to help loosen them up if you need to change them...I dang near stripped one nut while the other three (did both sides) came out pretty easily...

Unfortunately, these trucks also have a habit of rusting out brake lines so be careful with that...even though they're not hard or expensive to change...

well the pop I heard was from ice on my rear window. so meh

brakes will be an easy fix. its leaking on the line from the master to this little T box on my fender well its only like a foot long. :icon_thumby:

That's good...but you'll still need to bleed them...and I'd have a look at the rest of the lines while you're in the mood...they seem to all go at once on some vehicles...

The guy I bought my second Ranger from drove it to my place and parked it...when I went to move it a month later there were absolutely no brakes...the back lines were completely rusted off...and the fronts were not much better...

No wonder he took the back roads...

oh yeah bleeding for sure. damn so much for easy. cant get this old line off and cant get to the fitting for heat.

it goes from the rear of the master (closest to the firewall) down to a little t-block, think thats what its called.

cant get it off that little block. the 5rest of the lines look okay. im doing this is a damn cold driveway i just want the one fixed I'm in ontario Ill do the rest when its warmer
