In light of the recently posted BII rollover pics ( I'm very sorry to see that, really sucks) I wonder if anyone has some really good BII exo- cage pics they could post. I've been toying with this idea, but haven't seen much I really like. I'm thinking it might be a good idea, after I do my 4.0 swap-in.

So, how about it? Any one care to throw up some BII exo-cage pics?:icon_welder:

Ha, good luck. I think I'v seen one and it looked like ass.

I'v been toying with the idea of an exocage for a few years now and been looking for pics of one on a B II, but have been unable to find any.

Here are the designs I'v been tossing around and the thread.

Hmm, I kinda like that last pic, Jester. The desighn works for me.....are there more pics of that rig? I'd like to check 'em out.

I saw a JP cherokee similar to that, and the cage was sectioned, so parts could be unbolted, repaired, and replaced. I like that idea. I had a similar idea of the cage in the rear windows replacing the glass, too. Cool.

That is the only picture I have or seen of it with the cage.

I like it too, and tried to recreate it(poorly) on a BII(picture above the Cherokee), but i'm not sure it works. The BII hood curves down so much at the front where as the Cherokee hood is fairly straight.

Also the strength of that cage is questionable. It has very little triangulation.

I have toyed with the idea of an exo cage. Done right they can look really nice and work well. The only down side, they can get caught on trees and such. My buddy has a really nice exo on his S10 with 38's and air bag suspension.

I am really not a fan of exos, but for some reason I really like that XJ Jester.

59bisquik That s10 looks pretty good, tight and curvy. I think something like that, with a front end cage similar to jester's pic could look pretty good on a BII. Got any more pics of it? side, rear, top, exc.?

in my opinion, a well done interior cage will protect YOU better than a good-looking exo.
i have stacks of spare body panels, but only one human body.

an exo can help protect the body if you wheel in lots of mud or rocks, but would snag every other tree where i 'wheel.

my favorite cages are interior ones that have some bars going outside to protect key areas

if you run more horizontal exo's you can actually make them really good sliders, you just gotta design it right- and it won't catch every tree you drive by

i want THAT ORANGE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
