Mystery tool thread.

I was thinking medical too. Additional info; these were found on a cattle ranch in the mud room of a house I was working on. The previous tenant/ranch hand had passed on and whatever was left was up for grabs. I thought they looked interesting enough to grab. Maybe for notching ear tags or ears?

Looks similar to a device my buddy uses to Tattoo his dogs ears. He breeds dogs and marks them with a tattoo inside the ears.

Most automotive or general tools are not stainless. It's not the best steel for the job. So something made of quality stainless like that screams medical to me. Found on a farm... definitely guessing vet farm tool

ear notch tool for livestock. here is a newer one, for hogs, according to The Google

Tighty Whities are for males, females wear 'granny panties'. I hope those are NOT tighty whities ,

Either way those are too cheeky. I see no problem.

Dammnit I should have guessed that. I have a similar lobster tool. You have to notch the fin of female lobsters before you release them.

I do.

Used to have a church key too, before I quit religion....err.....well..something to do with church keys...

Let's be serious. How many of us have a spark plug tool on their keyring?
I haven’t changed a spark plug in years... Why would I keep a spark plug gapper on my keys?

I just buy iridium plugs... why carry a tool for something I change maybe every 10 years?

I don't keep a gap tool on my key chain but there are a couple different styles in my tool box. Now if I can just remember which box....

Instead of having one or 2 good vehicles, I have lots of $500.00 beaters. Which involves reusing spark plugs instead of buying new plugs. Which means cleaning and gapping a lot of old plugs.
