mystery grease

This afternoon I noticed a couple of globs of grease on the side of my truck. I'm trying to figure out if it came from my truck. I can't really tell since I went through the mud today also. It's on my passenger side front mudflap and on the side of the truck. I know it'll probably will be hard to diagnose something like this but any help is appreciated.

sounds like a blown cv axle boot. just from the description. we'll need pics to verify.

any grease dripping from the tie rod?

get up under the truck with a good flash light and start lookin the only thing i think it could be is just stuff you might have slung up muddin

Not that I've noticed but haven't been listening that close. I listen for a noise when I drive it today.

any grease dripping from the tie rod?

The passenger side is caked with mud right now but it does look like an oily mud. The one in the middle looks to be leaking. The only thing is it looks like fresh grease. I can tell it's purple.

It does look like it was flung up while muddin, I'm trying to figure out if it came from my truck first.
