MTX thunder square

Do the squares sound different than round? What's the difference?

A sound wave is a circle, therefore a speaker that's shaped like a circle is going to produce the best sound wave. Square subwoofers actually do have one advantage, and that's that they have more surface area for the box that they're on. Because they cover more area on the box, they move more air

@ --weezl-- the power actually gets shut off where your from?? im from canada and never heard of such a thing

god, i wish some canadians realized when i was screwing with americans... dude, i live in calgary...

I will always picture you as Davy Crockets twin weezl. Lol

now im torn between the MTX and the Kicker both have a rms of 450 and which i got my kicker amp today and it is sold as a 400w rms amp but they send a certificate with the actual ouput and it gives it a 475 rms rating. so it can power both. and i can get both the KICKER Solol5 450rms and the MTX Thunder Square 450rms both DVC 4ohm for 150! and both use about 1cubic ft of air space theirs no down side to either of them! Damn it!

dude, get the MTX, you WILL NOT be disappointed! mine's not super loud (it certainly isn't quiet) but the sound is so crisp and clear! (and yes i know a little about sound, i used to be a professional dj, and no, i wasn't "dj weezl" he's some asshat that stole my name... i was dj chronic

oh haha. my bad. i live in calg too.

lol, i see that!

at this point its what ever i choose, im probably going to to go with the kicker, unless i can find the mtx for cheaper, my dad doesnt like me to spend money on "stupid" stuff...

but i did take out the jump seat today...

my truck

yeah, i know crutchfield is a very good site, but its wayyy to over priced, they operate at MSRP i got my amp and some other stuff from sonicelectronix.com

here is the mtx <<<on there a whole 100 dollars cheeper.

I want that square MTX now too lol. When you build a box, how do you know how much air is inside? Like you said you need between .66 and 1cu. ft, how do you know when you have that?
