My temporary fuel filter housing fix

The housing you are speaking of isn't a filter, its actually a fuel reservoir bowl, which helps supply extra fuel to the engine when sudden heavy throttle application is used, it keeps from starving the engine of fuel until the fuel pumps catch up from what I've been told.

Any other thoughts before I hack that housing off?
