Just because you're on private property, doesn't mean that everyone who watches your videos knows that, Nor does that mean that environmentalists care where you are, they are going to get pissy regardless, and it doesn't mean that everyone else has access to private property that is protected, nor does it mean that your ability to obtain, build, and insure a vehicle that has the ability to do what you enjoy won't be restricted, or become extremely expensive...

Basically in Canada the way the laws are written, there are municipal bylaws, provincial statutes, and federal laws, each of them have specific areas they are in effect, provincial statutes, for instance, in the province I live, include the traffic safety act, which is only in effect on public roads, which includes stuff like speed limits, stop signs, seatbelt laws, distracted driving laws... Where as municipal bylaws are usually stuff like noise violations, parking tickets... Federal laws are, for the most part, found in a document called the criminal code of Canada, which is active in the entire country regardless of where, unless otherwise specified.
"operation while impaired" states specifically:

Nowhere in there does it say anything about "unless on private property" or "on public roads"

It even goes so far as to include if you ate sitting in the vehicle, door open, keys in hand, because you are in control...

Sorry weezel but throw "Right to travel" and other common law into the equation and your argument becomes invalid as long as there is no breach of the peace and no parties claiming damages.
Common Law <this pre-dates many sections of the criminal code but other sections are still valid within it.

right to travel does not have anything to do with the discussion that was taking place, by NO definition were the content of the discussions by any stretch of the word "traveling" additionally, the "right to travel" is NOT a common law, it is in the charter, section 6.

breach of peace and damage to parties are not a required element to deem something to be a crime, nor is it required to cause a bad reputation for a social group... what you need to look into are the elements required for a criminal conviction, i think this is what you're trying to say, you should go look up Actus reus, and Mens rea...

additionally, "common law" is NOT something that "pre dates" criminal code, it is something that has become a precedent to be considered normal, and can be something that has been set, in some circumstances, as early as a week prior...
