My Ranger. Love it to death.

So my father, says that its only worth 800 tops, somehow i think hes right.

145k is pretty high for mileage.

Isn't it?

it all depends on how well it was maintained. If the person kept up on the maitence then 145 should be just broken in. If they didnt change oil but once every 2 years then id say its worth 100 bucks. Keeping your shit up and you could easily get 500,000 miles

Actually, it had a constant flow of fresh oil into it due to the nut for draining being loose until i bought it, the previous owner just thought it burned a quart of oil every 3 days haha. And they had it for about 5 years. Before that it was well maintained and garage kept by the original owner. I'm only the 3rd owner.

...is that a good or bad thing?

It doesn't leak anymore, i checked it and discovered it was just the crooked nut, and replaced it. Now its normal and A-OK.

I paid 2700 for my pickup back in '04, and the 3.0L that was in it had about 190k on it. Still ran like a champ though, and I never had any problems with it even when we did the motor swap. My dad actually ended up freshening up the 3.0L a little bit and putting it back into a Ranger that a large company blew a motor up in, and the truck it went into still runs like hell. And those drivers beat the crap out of those trucks.

900 was a hell of a deal man.

i would say that is a bad thing... most people that have an oil leak figure they dont have to do oil changes because they always put oil in it.... not good if that is the case, never changing an oil filter is horrible. but you never know, maybe they did change it?

get rid of the deer thing

get rid of the deer thing its funner to hit them. hit-em-hard:tease:

a friend once told me that its worth whatever you paid for it( to you anyway ) and you are what matters. lol. so slap your dad, tell him its worth every penny and go back to bed old man...

Actually I'm changing the oil this weekend, so ill see how bad of shape the filter is when i change it out.
Ill keep you posted. Haha.

ive heard of em, but have know idea where they are! i may have been to walton once? cant remember though, is that near painted post, or complete opposite direction? just curious.

usually in small towns you cant sell for as much as a big town, and is cheaper to buy out in small towns!

Thats to the west of here, so the other direction, haha.
And i would probably keep a for sale sign in the window when I'm driving if i ever do sell.
That way it would be seen in Sidney, Oneonta, and Binghamton.
