My Project

did you really say un-put-together?.?.? :thefinger:

@bobby- well the opposite of put together...

@4.0B2 All I know is that they are professional choice hi-fi quality, I'm buying them off some old people because they were "too loud"

yeah. you could just buy a box. but i prefer to custom build mine..
My Project

that one is just for a single 10 but will not hurt my cargo area for what i need it for.

here's the underneath before it got bedlined
My Project

Very nice! I'm thinking I'm gonna have to cut through the back wall to fit the box in, because the cab has all the luxurious space of a fish tank.... Pics of the new floor will be up soon!

we put 3 audiobahn 12's in a single cab Isuzu pickup once. cut the back of the cab and the front of bed out and welded a box to the cab that fit the 3-12" box perfectly... lol. 3-12's w/ 1000 watt amp on each in a single cab truck is INTENSE!

Here are some more pics! one is of the floor that isn't totally in yet, but it already looks a lot better, and one is of the roll bar that I can't wait to put on! (but it's the wrong size so it's gonna require some modification of the bed)

A few more pics here... I haven't had a ton of time due to school. but I hope to make more progress on it this weekend!
Also- I apologize for the messiness of the welds, I am still on a learning curve with this particular tool :icon_welder:

Pic 1: The tranny support that I'm gonna put in- The old one rusted out.
Pic 2: The rust I still have to patch up
Pic 3: The engine with the valve cover off
Pic 4: The patch work I got done today

Another question here- Is there a decent size v6 that will drop in (and I use the term "drop in" loosely, because I know things don't just drop in, but at least something that wont require a new tranny and stuff)?

Ok! I didn't get much done, because I had exams... and I was studying my butt off for those.. Any way, here is what I did get done!

Ok! the the Inside all painted up nice! And I started on the bed, but ran outta the paint...

This (1st Pic) and the welder are probably the most useful tools in the garage.

I got the seats in mostly(2nd Pic), I'm gonna have to get a few more bolts because somehow no matter how closely I keep track of them, they seem to vanish! :icon_surprised:

Now it's time to move on to the doors (3rd pic)! These are gonna require alot of love....

OK! I finaly figgured out how to do pics like below!

Here is what I have collected so for as far as sound system for my tuck! (sorry about the crappy quality)

with doors like that... i'd be hitting up a junkyard.

man am i glad i live in the South...

I would if I could, there is only one junk yard in all of west Michigan that stocks rangers as old as '87. (Belive me, I've looked) and the ones there either don't have doors, or they are in worse shape then the ones I got.
You are right about the down south thing! When we lived there, we had an old diesel suburban(great truck by the way, it was before they became more of an SUV) that we had brought down from Michigan, and sometimes we would bring it in for an oil change just to watch the mechanics freak out about how much rust was on that thing ;)

Got nothing done.... Was sick for a while then the holiday season had me distracted, then I got sick again... so it's been busy. But tomorrow I'm gonna do some work on the breaks (it needs a whole new system, but I'm hoping to get the back half done) then finally bolt on the bed and the roll bar... Pics are coming!

Ok! I didn't get done all I hoped to, I still need to do some body and bed work before it's ready to be bolted down.. but the roll bar is in! and it looks really cool. Still got some brake work to do so I left the wheels off. Any way, here are the pics I took, enjoy!
