lol, yup. that was at AAA where the guy had it towed. i worked on it in their parking lot for probably an hour or so before i could drive it home.

today's investment: headlight and corner light $25, washer fluid reservoir and coolant overflow $10. the hood latch was one i had left over from a truck i parted out. the grille is the center section out of a 2 piece 1st gen grille. the hood still needs some work. i do have a 1st gen hood i thought about putting on but im not sure how its gonna fit on the front edge, i know tis a little different.

got the hood all patched back up. i found a good latch from the ranger i parted out a few years back. the heater doesnt get very warm so i pulled the heater core yesterday and flushed it out. PO says it was replaced a couple years ago (i believe him, it looks fairly new) but the cooling system is all full of sludge. i flushed out quite a bit of garbage from the heater core and radiator both. its better but something is still goofy. it might need a thermostat but im afraid its really a bad water pump. today i welded up an exhaust leak, aligned the front end, fixed the loose front wheel bearings (PO had done brakes fairly recently) and rotated tires. its gonna need a wheel cylinder on the back end and new shoes too. should still be able to stay on a decent budget, still less than $200 total in it as of today.
