My New House & Workshop

I think I want to run speakers through the whole building and build a system in the front section to power it. Instead of mounting speakers I'll install speaker jacks. Maybe add volume control with the jacks.
A/B zones would be cool, too. Then you could have your main set and when you really want to party, hit that other button. 🔊🎇

My New House & Workshop
I made the mistake of using a gel stain on some shelves for the shop. Three days later and their still not dry! Today I set them outside in the sunshine. Yesterday I had a fan blowing on them.

When I built the counter tops for my storage cabinet I used regular oil base stain and they were dry the next day.

I'm not making that mistake again.

Well, if you need some drawer glides. I know a guy haha

I finally remembered to take a picture of the music boxes in the shed of miracles.

That big Pioneer is sitting right underneath the used 8 foot fluorescent lights I got 20-30 years ago that I’m going to put up someday…..

45’ deep, 27’ wide. The two big pioneers (24“ x 14“) are hanging off the rafters in the back facing forward. The two Panasonics (12x14?) are on the walls facing inward in the front half. Then there’s the JVC triple deck jukebox with the play & record double cassettes. I think I paid less than $50 for all of it put together at the Goodwill store.

I can blast out the neighbor across the street, and two houses down on either side. They don’t seem to appreciate the Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller and such. I tried blasting Lawrence Welk one time, but Lawrence Welk just won’t go up that high.

And before you think I live in the dark ages, I do have the beach boys, Beatles and even Elton John. Well, a couple of them are actually records. Led Zeppelin is on the 8 track. I can only play that in the house or in the Marc V.

That wood veneer Pioneer looks VERY much like the setup I have in the bedroom. Plenty of sounds for movies/music.

If only I still had my cassette tapes
I should get rid of mine. All they are doing is collecting dust since the tape player in my audio rack system broke. I really should get rid of the audio system too. I haven't turned it on in years.

Yup...I have a ream-sized paper box full of cassettes that I will never listen to, but
they're not hurting anyone. And an even bigger box of CDs. I'm keeping them just to piss off whoever inherits all my "valuables." I also have all the equipment needed to play them and the LPs and a few 45s. Lord help me....

We have Rubbermaid tubs in the attic full of CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, and VHS tapes. There are several Blu-ray disks up there too. Haven't touched them in over a year. My wife got a wild hair last summer and started uploading a bunch of our older music to ITunes for her phone. That was the last time I've seen them.

This is all directed at me, isn’t it?
