my gutter helmet grill!!!!

im keeping the metal look to mine...unless it starts to oxidize, then its going to either blue, black, or colormatched to the truck, since ive had it ive put two led strips in it, they are blue...looks real good at night it lights up the whole grill and people can even see it with my headlights on.

oh yeah and this is how ive seen the whole grill thing...
93- funny looking horiz. bars on top, open bottom
94- blocky square, ford in the middle
95-97- (mine) big open 4 "holes" ford in the middle
so stop fighting lol

anyone that has a variation of the stated above must of had the grill swapped proir to them buying the truck...if you are the one and only owner then thats when i stand corrected

You forgot to add my grill type into your little history of grills.

I know for a fact that my grill was never changed, as I know both previous owners. I also know for a fact that the parts truck I payed a visit too never had its grill swapped as I know THAT owner as well. Mines a 1993, that ones a 1994. Guess you stand corrected?

Where did you come by this knowledge?

yeah, there's a 4wd grille then at least 3-4 2wd ones that i have seen and know about. then on the older ones the top edge of the grille stops just about the inside edge of the headlights and the newer 3gen ones go almost to the outside edge of the headlights. lol

basicly did this grille mod 2years ago, but did mine with reg. acrylic caulking. sticks very well, but can be remove when you want and is super easy to clean up back to orignal.
letting it cure/dry.

i did have to slightly trim the top of the center plastic trim piece behind it for clearance though.

BTW: what i used isn't gutter guard, got it from work Champion Labs. it actually the main support for the paper in just about everyones oil filters and air filters on here. still hasn't stained, rusted or discolored to this day. lol
