My friends Heep adventure

My buddies family has a lot of land we ride on just to get away from it all, the other day he decided he was going to ride into uncharted territory to form some new trails with his stock Cherokee.

He had called me on the cell phone to tell me what he was doing when I heard a loud thump & he dropped his phone. This was the result......

Of course after that, it was B2 to the rescue!!!!

I didn't get any pics of the rescue because it was extremely non dramatic, I pulled him out so easy it was like I was pulling him down hill! I'm looking forward to that Christmas card, at least I'll have one to put up on the door sill this year!!

This land is mostly solid rock with a very thick layer of soil on top, what you can't see in the pics is a washout, kind of like an underground creek that caved in. This thing was about 6 ft deep,4 ft wide, & app 20 long. Where his left tire dropped in was a bend & it curved to the right in front of the heep, if he would have been about 4" to the right, he wouldn't have caught that first part with his left tire & the whole front of the heep would have dropped in with the entire rear end sticking up in the air!
