so a while back I was being a jackass and doing doughnuts in a empty wet parking lot. well I guess I cranked my steering too far and now its screwed up. now my power steering only works if I rev my engine. it has plenty of fluid and doesnt leak anything. with out reving my engine, no power steering at all. these guns are gettin big just trying to park my truck. whats the deal, anyone ever have this problem too? I think I ought to just change the pump. I found some online for about $80. are there better aftermarket ones that dont have the usual ranger steering whine? I will pay lots to have working and quiet power steering.

Pump is cheaper and easier than the rack. (Use the PS pulley puller, trust me!)

I find that synthetic ATF keeps the pump quiet.
Others swear by Lucas PS treatment.
I've never needed to add that.

Ya definitely. Couldn't believe the game Sunday. Colts do a 76 yard drive in less than 1:30. Then can't hold the Jags back for 2 minutes. Man I was pissed. Used to live in Indiana, love the Colts.

word colts are hurtin this year. they have bob sanders out on defense and the o line is causing all kinds of problems for manning. when you have the best center, imo, jeff saturday injured and all you can replace him with is a rookie it going to equal sacks. sucks to be manning right now.
but Id rather be manning that tom brady

jay cutler throwin rockets to eddie royal and tony scheffler on one side and barndon marshall on the other? awesome. yet we somehow lose to the cheifs?? for shame.

anyway, you can go to a junkyard and strip an entire power steering system for between 25 and 50 bucks where i live. thats what i's do.
