My daughter wants to rock crawl......

the old cherokees take a beating and keep on running! those stupid 4liters in those things are a tough motor to kill. she atleast needs to learn how to drive a 4wd on the trail properly. if she can do that she is much less likely to wreck her first street legal vehicle once she gets her license along with have a good strong bond with her dad and the redneck guys down the road!

Hey Jim, I bought my daughter a 90 Cherokee. Nothing fancy. She helped a little in fixing it up. Of course, my daughter is older than yours. And I needed to get her something so she would leave MY Jeep alone. But she took mine offroad a couple times and decided she wanted something 4x4. I thought about it, and decided the XJ was a good choice. They ARE somewhat durable, bigger than the Metro I always threatened her with getting. So I get the piece of mind of her driving a larger vehicle, that isn't HORRIBLE on gas (though not great), but gives her 4x4 for inclement weather. Doesn't hurt that her boyfriend has a XJ also.

We will be going on a local club outing later this month and she will be driving her own Jeep offroad for a change. Shoot, we're almost a club already, her XJ, my ZJ and my son's Ranger almost done...

Now if I can only figure out WHY she put that damn Hello Kitty sticker in the back window...

Well, I think a Sammy would be a good starter for her to learn to wheel in. It's small and easier to negotiate. It won't be anything I'd let her drive around on the street with when she's old enough for a license. I can't think of anything else that's cheap and small.

did someone just say they had a 16yo daughter hmm, lets see thats one year lol, idk i went and started the ranger today, and its been through the 40 hole twice up at tahuya, never hyfrolocked, samis are sick though

i say, if she can see over the wheel and still mash the pedal to the floor, :icon_hornsup::icon_hornsup:, give me a "HELL YEAH" and go for it :icon_thumby::icon_hornsup:

I saw that episode, I was amazed the young girl was able to do that, let alone do it so well.

Congrats Jim.
