Hey there forum, I am about to undertake a engine swap from a 2.8L '85 bronco II (Automatic) and swap it into a 84 bronco II (standard). If you got and tips or tricks or things I gotta look out for that would be great. Any help would be fantastic and met with great thanks.

-Noah.

Should be pretty straight forward. Just don't forget to swap the flywheel over from the 84's engine and to keep the manual starter.

Yep, I am taking my time with it to make sure I'm doing it right. Shame I'm hung up on getting the engine going good again, I seem to have a fuel delivery issue. The diagnosis is taking it time thats for sure. :)

Fuel delivery issue should be pretty straight forward on a 2.8. Either it needs a new fuel pump, or the carb is messed up.

It was the carb. I did a quick rebuild and cleaning yesterday and it went great. The Carb goes fantastic. Funny enough the starter is stuck and now she is trying to turn over with out the keys even in it. Haha, its a process but thats why we do it. :)

im doin the same thing only takin the 2.8 out of my bronco II and puttin it in my 84 ranger ha ha small world. good luck man:icon_thumby:

The shame of the matter is I'm doing the work at my school and I cant do hardly any work on weekends without breaking in (which isnt out of the question, done it twice already :) ) so oddly enough this long weekend is killing me. I'm getting alot of inspiration and motivation from the galleries. So its just a matter of time. Probably going to make a "documentary" of the process.
