My 98 Ranger - the never-ending project

I've done a little more work on the truck, but it looks like it's going to be two colors until at least spring

Also, I stole some tires off of my friends jeep and put them on my aluminum rims

and I decided that I really want to do a v8 swap next summer

Your worried about 2 colors? Have you seen my truck? Mines getting body work next spring.

Nice update. And I noticed the wheel change right away, those look good.

Fuel pump, spark plugs, blah blah blah. Nothing really exciting enough for pictures lately.

just so you know, I finally have a difinitive answer on the injector size for or gen 4.0. It does in fact use an injector rated for 12.9 lb/hr due to the switch to a returnless system. The bosch part number for mine is 0-280-155-846. So my check engine light hasn't come back so far.

I'm pretty sure it's a common thing for the hood stoppers to break on rangers. Mine have been broken for a long time. Here's how I fixed them:

I used a set of Energy Suspension Low Profile Bump Stops (pn# 9.9102GC) and some 3/8 nuts.

I welded one nut where the original stoppers went.

And then added another nut to the bump stop as a jam nut, and threaded it in.

Then after adjusting them, and throwing on some black paint, I was done.

cool to see that you kept it, really like your truck actually looks pretty good in flat black, like your setup for the sub too very cool

nice work man!!! that front end looks really nice, and the sub setup looks great too!!

when it's dirty, it almost looks like 1 color, and it's really weird, haha

In the past week, I've sorted out all of my fuel pump problems, replaced my rear leaf spring hangers, and added air-assist shocks. However, somehow in the whole process, I only got one picture. Next time I pull my bed off (seems to happen about every other day) I'll make sure to get some pictures.
