o ya and do u guys know where to get some DOM tubing i cant find anything around here.

Ruff stuff sells it. They are a vendor on here and from what I'm told, have the lowest shipping prices plus being a trs member you get a 10% discount by entering the code RANGER on their site. More details are in the vendor section on this site plus you can go to their website to see everything they have.

I've installed a trans and transfercase by myself many times. Easiest way was to use an engine hoist, put the arm in the cab as high as you can go, hook a strap or chain to it, passenger side is best. Works great for reinstalling too add you can get under the trans and line up the piolet shaft to the bearing while it is being supported above you.

Here's a visual of what I did.

I drop/install my transfercase(s) and transmission by myself every time. I use me feet and hands and bench press that MFer in there. I have got pretty damn good at it.lol

Lol nice I've bear hugged them befor but this ones gonna be tricky as u see the radius arm bracket is gone aint really got no where to rest it on while I take the cross member out.

I hate how the RA crossmember was in the way, made it worse to install...but that was on my dad's old 84 he had. Never pulled the trans on my truck with one there since I did everything after my SAS.

But lifting and bolting an np208 transfercase by yourself really sucks, but that's another story and experience I don't want to relive anytime soon.

ill get her out guys. on another note im really thinking about changing the game plan and going with full width d44 and 9in in the rear the axles are sitting at my buddys shop and i can get them for cheap. but i aint really did the research. i do know it a hp d44 with 411 gears. hmmmmm:icon_confused:..i do know if i go that route the truck would deffintly not be done by june 1st cause i would rebuild both axles and gear it also

If you can run fw axles on the street then do it. But you may want to regear to 4.56s if going with a larger tire.

yeah it would get regeard. i can get my hands on 2 nice 35in mudkings would just have to find two more tho. but i got one for u guys look at the tires on my d.d

there 33.12.5x15 paid 200 bucks for them got a 5th one thats never been drivin on and the 4 on my truck are atleast 90 percent treads lol

Wish I could find tires that cheap. I want too go to 33s but because hiw much it costs for 4 new ones, im going to have to buy two at a time and stick with my 32s.

i found the best deals on tires are on local 4x4 sites. i can find 33's and 35's all day long on wheels with decent tread for $200-$400

Right now for two tires I'm at $426. Don't need tires until next year (tax check may cover it). My local jy has some 33s but due to the unknown off the age, I let them go.

Guess my best thing to do is keep an eye out for some deals on CL and online.
