My 91 Ranger the stRanger

We just went up in the snow again today, it's a lot higher up now but we managed to get into 3ft before turning around and of course Danny got stuck and his goddamn jeep never has any recovery points so that was fun  And we did some shooting at the gravel pit, the good 'ol .17 was like a laser at 200 yards. What day are you comin' back?

I just found this pic on my computer, probably the best pic of your truck, with St Helens in the background.

Man F you guys haha sounds like fun, better than texas at least. Oh well few more weeks. Not sure yet on the exact day I get home. My mom and Keith are giving me their nuvi as well! All I hope for is nice weather when I am home for working on the truck, I have so much I want to do. Any pics from the trip? You take to ol' B2 out?

Actually that picture has been my desktop background for like the last 4 months lol. Definitely my favorite picture of my truck. I also like this one but its pre front bumper;

eh, i should move to washington. looks nice man, and you sound like me in tech school. haha it is funny. we cant stop upgrading

Nope it never stops... I just can't wait to finish up training here. I have been pricing out a lift kit, tires, and gears, but that will be for this summer :headbang:

Didn't get any pics of the B2 or snow but I got some of the Cabin/view and at the gravel pit with my .17. As you can see not much snow at this elevation, we got to the Spencer Butte trail head (about mile 7, Blue Lake is mile 12) and there was about 3ft and we turned around.

Nice man, I miss those places so many good times have been had there haha.

Well I ordered some more parts today... ordered shift boot cup holders from another forum member, and some amber leds from superbrightleds.com for parking light/corner/turn signals

I am going to have quite a bit of work for myself by the time I get home lol but I must say I am excited!

Unfortunately another lame update for the time being. This feels like it is becoming a journal now every time I post and no work has been accomplished lol. I was planning on starting leave today but things are really busy with my new unit and won't be going home for a while. Canceling plane tickets suck!

A good thing though is my parents are willing to drive the ranger out to me! Its a 2400 mile trip so I hope everything goes ok. Should be here in 2 weeks with all the parts and some of my stuff!

Finally some what of an actual update! I got my truck down here to AR from WA! Thanks to my parents for undertaking the huge task! Yes my 91 went over 2400 miles in a few days relatively pain free for an almost 20 year old truck. The thing that went bad during their trip was the front passenger wheel bearing decided to shell out about 1200 miles into the adventure. Luckily a Ford shop was near by and able to fix it and get em back on the road.

It is great to be driving again! Anyway here is a pic of some of the stuff I ordered in the last 5 months thats going to keep me busy for now:

There is new headlight housings, clear markers and corners, LEDS for turns, marker, dash and HVAC, cup holders, poly body mounts, mag light holder, and a water gauge.

I will definitely update this as stuff gets installed. The ol truck is definitely due for some TLC!

That urethane kit is one of the best things you can do to your ranger. I did the full bumper to bumper resto-kit and lemme tell you; no more squeaks or creaks and she rides like a caddy. Definitly a really good buy.

nice build man, love the truck

i shouldve known ebay, haha. thanks for the link man

Anytime. Just be mindful of the leafspring bushings. The old ones are a pain in the a$$ to remove.

Awesome to hear that. I just went for the body mount kit though.

Thanks!

I got the kit from summitracing.com for $50

That's cool. These body mounts absorb the bumps much better than the crushed and weathered rubber ones.:D
