My 2010 F-150 doesn't Frickin start!!!

Those boxers aren't great. They make good power, but the wear funny and aren't as long lived as in-lines or V configured. I knew one guy who was a subaru guy but was always blowing engines in his outbacks.

Yeah that was the thing... it never made very good power anyways. It sucked.

The turbo boxers will run, but its the turbo + the light car. Wagons are slow.

Never seen a CF truck.

But the two applications mentioned are aftermarket mod companies, not stock cars, and they are sold only at certain dealerships.

Shelby cars roll off the same line as a regular Mustang, their engines are built at the Ford Romeo Engine plant... the same plant as a regular 4.6 or 5.4.

All of this is null, the chances of it happening are nill.

Yeah, and then Shelby takes them and redoes the top end.

The problems that new cars have these days should just not happen. You would think that after making cars for so long they could work out all the bugs. New cars just have to many control modules and unneeded crap. I have a 2006 Ram in the shop that needs a $950 module because all 4 turn signals flash when you turn left - what a joke! Honda can get it right so why can't anyone else:icon_confused:

Heres a shot of one. Kind of a cool truck.

OK, let me be more precise. I've seen PICs of a CF truck. I've never gotten hands on with one or seen under the hood. My last shop was a Roush dealer, but we didn't sell any Foose stuff.

- UPDATE -

Ford towed the truck in today. The motor was flooded. It's running rich. No idea why yet. I told the service manager that the truck ran much stronger at 1/2 throttle than full throttle since day 1. They gave me another exact same truck to test drive. The throttle response on that one was much better than mine. They suspect it's ran rich since new.

They gave me a loaner car (Fusion) so they can keep my truck. They have it hooked up to some kind of computer that will tell them more about what it's doing. I guess it was loaded with codes.

Hopefully they'll find the problem
.

There is no ( a ) in tomorrow!!:icon_thumby:

At least they put you in a nice car. I had a Fusion over the weekend, sync made that car even more awesome:yahoo:.

Could've been stuck in a Focus:icon_surprised:

I hope it turns out alright for you Jim, this seems kind of odd on a brand new truck, hopefully it doesn't turn you sour with the Blue Oval.

Tell them you want a new engine because you're afraid the cylinder walls got gas-washed because of the rich condition. It's definitely a possibility if it was so flooded it wouldn't start.

You'd think a truck with 10,000 miles wouldn't be doing this kind of crap. My 18 year old 190,000 miles explorer doesn't do that kinda crap.

Agreed with the new engine if its been running rich then theirs a good chance that the cylinder walls are not in 10,000 mile condition or the rings for that matter.. just my .02

We got a 2009 Focus awhile back as a rental. They are nice little cars, it had some nice options.
