My 1990 Ford Ranger XLT.

1500 miles in 11 months!? Geez I gotta stop driving so much. I've gone about 6000 miles in 7 months, and I thought that wasn't a lot lol

More like 2,000. I'm not exactly sure on the miles when we bought it. I'll look in the book today. But yeah, it hasn't been driven much. I started driving it daily in October when I got my liscence. I've put around.... (Random guess) Maybe 500-800 on it myself just driving it to school and running errands and going to friend's houses. I've had to fill it up about 4 or 5 times since October. Each time I fill up I got about 200-250 miles. So maybe 1,000 or 1,200 by myself. I don't know.:dunno:

Sorry, Random long paragraph.:icon_rofl:

Miles update!

Thank you! Oh, and I looked at my oil change-book today. It actually had 98,217 when we first bought it. As of today, it has 100,224. Just over 2,000 miles on it in 11 months.

can i get a better pic of the radius arms. looks neet

Sorry about the wait. I thought I had posted this a while ago.

Very nice! I am going to look at a 1990 4x4 w/4.0 tomorrow. I just sold my 94 this month because it was falling apart. If i get the 1990 ranger i hope i can make it look that clean.

Update

I decided quite a while ago that I wanted black wheels for this truck. I've always liked the look of black wheels and tires on a dark colored truck. After not finding any soft 8's for cheap like I originally wanted, I decided to do it the hard way.

We got the wheels dismounted from the tires and I and Dad took turns sandblasting the clear coat off. I think it took around an hour and a half for each wheel.

Difference between clear coat (left) and non clear coat. (Right)

I decided on Rustoleum Black Satin finish spray paint. Turned out pretty good.

Oh no! Someone stole the tires off the truck!

More pics of wheels and update

I forgot I haven't posted any updated pictures of the truck.

Also, for my senior project I'm building a headache rack/rooftop light bar combo out of tubing. I'll post pictures of that as it progresses over winter break.

This was about a week after the new wheels:

These are the most recent:

Headache Rack

For my senior project I built a headache rack that has a light bar going over the cab using:

18ft of 1.5" .120wall HREW round tube
4ft 3" wide 3/16" flat plate
6"x3" 1/8" flat plate
4 5" ProComp spot lights
2 LED trailer lights

Final product turned out really well. I like it a lot.

Rack Build part 1

I played around with Bendtech for a while trying to get an idea of what it would look like with the measurements I had written down, it was pretty close to the final:

Later that day I went and bought tube and plate.

Top hoop starting measurement:

Rear Hoop starting measurement:

Rack Build part 2

Then came some bending:

And the rear hoop was done:

The next day the top hoop was also done:
