A 5.0 would fit nicer. I bet you could probably pull a good 20mpgs with a FI v8, just because its a small package.

Mostly irresponsible window-down type driving... (listening to the motor) It's way better than the 4.0 I replaced. (stock 5.0, headers, underdrive pullies, cone air filter, T-5 manual, 3.55gears) I'll do a mild highway drive someday. The 5th gear in the T-5 is significantly taller than the original trans.

RangerSVT, you're likely thinking about 4th gear, typically 1:1 in most manual transmissions.
