Mustang gone....replaced with this....

Back in '95 I was a cop in a major city.We had the crown vics and the caprice. The caprice was quicker but the Ford was nicer.if I had the money I would buy one now.

Congratulations! You can now become a chrome gangsta. You have the main ingredient a $1000 or less PI crown vic. The "crown jewel" of under 1k chrome gangstadom:yahoo: Don't change anything, don't even wash it. All you need now are some 23"+ rimz worth more than the car (but you gotta make dem dubs shine) and if you real fly you put a BIG sub in the back (if it don't rattle it ain't big enough) Now just lay the seat all the way back crank the bass an' chase dem honeyz:icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

Kidding, nice find! I've always thought it'd be awesome to have one just to mess around with but there are way too many around here for me with the aforementioned mods.

I want a late-model P71 in the worst way.

That car is so old fuddy duddy retired old geezer automobile...lol

"That car" has that little yellow sticker in the rear door windows that sets it apart from the other CVs.....

But whatever......:icon_rofl:

Here's the pix of the engine bay:

And another "neat part" of the car is this, in the owner's manual case:

I still say it would be a good donor vehicle.

I do not disagree on that point at all. But, due to my health issues, I need the Ranger or the CV as a DD. Yes, I have the Jeep, but it's not as easy to get into it as it was before I got sick. Then there's the lack of other things: garage, money, and skill level.

But, if you're interested, I'll consider selling it. :icon_thumby:

Tonight's my first drive in the CVpi. Taking it to work tonight. Got tags and insurance on it last week. Spent the morning rinsing it off, cleaning the windows, and polished up the headlights.

Comfy ride, here I come!

Drove to work though town, so not much different than the Ranger, except for the ride feel. OK, a lot quieter, too.

On the way home, came around via the Interstate. Big difference. This thing could easily get me in trouble. Not paying any attention, it's easy......too easy......to pass the speed limit and not even notice! Rides great, power to spare.

The only thing, other than a better stereo system, that I'd add to this car is a "dead-pedal", like the FoxBody Mustang had.

Yeah, possibly. Might just rig something up, or hit a JY.

Checked the gas mileage Thursday in the CV. Gets just about 20 mpg.
