Multitool/Knife check!

I bought autos in mississippi and florida, tennesee dont like, but lemme see them stop me.

I bought an automatic opening at a store here, no problems. It was a side opening stiletto.

This is with me all the time since I open a lot of boxes, but it's useful for a lot of other things like wiring, and of course blades are replaceable and cheap.

You can buy automatic knives in a state that they're restricted in, don't know why, but thats the way it is... you know when you walk into a gas station and they have knives that are in a small display case? Lots of those are typically automatic knives, at least here they are.

I used to carry a box knife like what you have 2.9XLT, heck, I even swam in the river with it, but once I started carrying a "regular" pocket knife, I realize how heavy that damn thing was, and how crappy its pocket clip was. I found after 2 years of carry, it came out of the pocket really easily, and fell out many times. Still keep it around for wiring, cutting zip ties, and cutting other thick things where a regular blade would dull too fast.

Well, I decided which fixed blade to get, its a CRKT Dogfish:

I also found this little knife, a Spyderco "Bug"... it has a total length of 2.75"... really really tiny knife, but I figured it would be a good keyring knife, or a good key pocket knife.

I carried a utility knife like 2.9XLT's as well...for three years. You can barely tell it used to be black. Can't say anything bad about them, I just like the bigger knives more.

Top right is the one I carry most often, Smith & Wesson "24-7"

one under that is a Leatherman SideClip, basically a baby Leatherman.

under that is my Buck knife, pretty cool looking.

And bottom left is my Leatherman Supertool 2000, the one I carry at camp.

I still carry around my first knife, a Danner (actually a Gerber 500), given to me by my uncle when I was 8.

And...a real 60's switch blade, confiscated from a real thug by my grandpa, who was a sheriff, pasted down to my dad, and now me.

I carry my leatherman with me as much as possible it has saved the day more times than I can count. I have had it since i was 14 I'll be 26 if feb. i would post a pic but i have no camera.

Thought about them, a bad review from a friend turned me off.

You should go try one out. I have had mine for a couple years now and really like it. Small and light enough you can carry it everywhere but still has a big enough blade to be useful. I have heard stories of the pliers breaking but I use mine a lot and have had no problems. Any tool will break if it abused.

The blade shape on the Skeletool CX is one of the most useful blade shapes I've ever seen, and the 154cm blade is incredible. I've had mine over a year and still don't need to sharpen it. Hasn't broken on me either. It's not a heavy duty tool like its bigger brothers, as long as you understand it's a lighter tool for lighter duty things, you'll be quite happy with it.

I actually just bought a second one to carry in my riding pants for my motorcycle, since my Charge TTi is a little too bulky to wear with them.
