I just put a different multifunction switch in my 90' Ranger. When I did the swap everything works except for the windshield washer, I know its in this new switch because my old switch does the mist function. Is there a way to get into the housing to check the contacts? I noticed on my old one that there are four torx screws, do those need to be removed?

I took my M.F. Switch apart off my 98 Ranger and fixed it. Just take out the screws and be VERY careful, there are contacts and springs that can fly everywhere. LOTS of contacts and springs! I would think your situation can be corrected with some wire swapping though. This MIGHT work: Find which wire has 12 volts when you move switch to wash. Than take that wire through whatever process you choose, (ie find other end, cut it and run new one, etc) directly to the washer pump.
