Love the highboy we have. Ours is a 76 F250 Highboy with a 79 body on it. Has an older front end (D44, oddly enough) and a rear out of a F350 dually.

Just won a new(well used but new to me) Carb. It was recently rebuilt. Cant wait to put it on!

Well, This project is going a completely different way! Sick of it and it's headed to the scrap yard where it belongs Haha just kidding of course! It's gonna have a frame off restoration. Basically gonna be getting an entirely new body for it unless i fix mine. I need to finish this before I turn 16(about a year and a half) because i wanna drive it then! So apart it comes! Thanks for reading!

Interior is the same :/. Needs some love like a new dash and seat.

Here's the majority of the rust. There is also some rust on the wheel wells but that is no big deal at the moment. Of course all the rust will be fixed eventually

I bought a carb off of ebay last week. I just got it today. When i went to put it on, The holes that bolt onto the intake manifold were about 1/4 inch off. So i took the throttle part off of my old carb and put it onto my new carb. Worked great except i dont have a choke anymore but i can live with that. It ran pretty but wouldnt idle. Oh well, gonna tune it tomorrow and put some pics up. stay tuned

Well it's been awhile! I have done some things to the old truck since i've last been here. I figured out what was causing it to run terribly. My intake manifold has some fitting for vacuum lines(which were missing by the way) so it was letting in a ton of uncontrolled air into the engine. I have since plugged two of the holes and put vacuum lines on the other. It starts up great and runs out good but still doesnt want to idle well. Not sure why but maybe ill have to adjust somethings on it. Also, i had a leak around my thermostat housing so i took it apart because i figured it was a bad gasket, right? well i took it off and put on a new gasket and then tightened it up. It ended up to snap it off. Well i bought a new one(thermostat housing/water outlet) and put that one and no more leaks! Then i got sick of no exhaust and being soo loud and annoying so i threw on a cherry bomb. It sounds 100x better then it did before! Here's a video of that! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkS9Z2-qauc
