ok so i see people talking bout using explorer springs on their rangers i was wondering would mountaineer springs work as well? My ex's mom has a 5.0 mountaineer in her driveway with a bad tranny and wants it gone so if they would work i will try to take it off her hands for parts and scrap the rest

Yeah, they should be the same.

Ok cool i kno sometimes they change shit as you go up the "luxury" ladder like the 4x4 system in the bravada was dif than the jimmy/blazer

As long as they are steel leaf springs, they will work. :icon_thumby:
Might as well take the rear 8.8" axle at the same time.

Pretty sure the Mountaineer V8 is the same as the Explorer V8, which is a pretty desirable engine too (dunno how far you want to go with it).

I cant afford V8 gas :( lol. If she well sell it to me for the right price a just may take the axle too its my dd so projects happen on my days off lol

What junkie said..............Pull the engine.
If you dont want it someone else will....=$$ for your truck or your pocket.

Thats what im thinking of doin if i can get her to a negotionable price lol i kno at one point she want like 1.5k for it and the tranny dropped reverse and the hood latch sheared off so besides a strong engine and the suspension id have no use for it
