i have a 95 explorer that needs a new motor. im just wonder how much work it would be to swap a motor from a 91 explorer into a 95, what all would need to go along???
it should be a simple pull and drop swap well simple in theroy who knows what problems You might encounter when trying to pull it or put it in. also you need somthing to lift the engine
and atleast the drivers side the exhaust manifold
and EVERY sensor on the engine.
Frankly if I had to replace the engine in a '95 I wouldn't even consider a '90-92
unless I was trapped in the desert and doing so was the only way of getting out.
a later 4.0OHV would be a much easier swap and would likely have less miles.
You are talking about putting an 18year old engine in a 14year old truck when
you could be getting a ten year old engine.
