HELP:headbang:
I am swapping a 3.0 with auto from a 93 ranger into my 89 ranger that had a 2.9 5 spd. I know the 2.9 is a better engine but mine was shot and the 3.0 was free. I have the complete donor truck that was totaled. I was putting the engine in today but the mounts on the engine do not line up with the mounts in the truck. The mounts on the 89 sit higher on the frame then the ones in the 89, this places them further apart. What mounts should I use or should I try to relocate the mounts in the truck?
Would it be better to fabriacte new mounts or does anyone know where I cah by conversion parts?

probably got to buy motor mounts, i dont think the 2.9 and 3.0 share the same mounts. my honest opinion wold be to do the 4.0 swap. with the 3.0 you only get 10 more horses. but since the 3.0 was free .. you cant go wrong with that. i got a 85 4x4 ranger, i did a complete body swap on it,and rebuild on the frame, i was gonna replace the 2.8 with another 2.8 from my donor truck, but id go through more hassel and money installing it that i would doing a 4.0 swap. its just the dang wiring that confuses me!!!

think you gotta by motor mounts tho

I am making a new set of motor brackets that will lower the engine to the same height as it was mounted in the 93
