Morgan's 2004 Ford Ranger Build

Rolled my first ranger right after I took my sway bar off..... lol

there have been a couple close calls.. after every single one of them i can just see the post (if i survive ) take off your sway bar they said.. itd be fun they said.. haha

fan clutch has been replaced. without the fan blowing and wasting my gas and power ive fallen in love with the truck all over again. soooo much power! and she sounds so clean! also, stepped into 4wheel parts and stepped out with 2 procomp 100Ws (just like the ones i had on my old chrome roll bar) but these ones are black. ordered 2 more, should be in this week. roof rack is done and installed with 2 lights mocked up. once i get the other 2 ill get into the wiring. camper shell looks tits! lastly, bonfire last night was straight aweesome. good wheeling, good music, cute country girls. hucked the truck twice haha. everything looks fine still, but im def looking forward to fiberglass.

passed out last night before i could post my weekend updates.

worked literally all day on my spring packs. took my expo leafs and added the overload spring from the ranger leafs, as well as another leaf that i cut down to size to make a custom add a leaf. so now i have a 6 leaf pack, shes gnarley. i was getting tired of the shackles flattening my springs so this was on my to do list for a while now. gained about 3in rear lift and took out my 2in blocks. shes close to level with a lil lean now. truck rides fantastic! def can feel that the rear is a little more stiff, but she still soaks up bumps in the road like no other. ill post pics probably later today.

Hey man I'm loving your truck, and all your mods but I got a couple questions, does your shifter really make a difference? And what did you mean by the new fan clutch helping with power? I've done some tug o wars with a friends Dakota and my ranger would pull his truck but the id bog out.

yes the hurst short throw will def change the shift feel. its amazing.

with a bad fan clutch the fan will spin at all rpms with the motor. sucks away tons of power, by replacing it i got tons of power back. truck feels great.

So yours just went bad or did you replace it with a better one? That doesn't engage? Sorry I'm not understanding fully.

the way a fan clutch work is when the motor is at lower rpms the fan spins to keep the engine cool, at higher speeds and higher rpms the fan shuts off because wind is cooling the engine with air flow. when the clutch in the fan goes bad the fan spins at all rpms, wasting fuel and sucking power. so mine went out and i replaced it with a new one from o'reilly, idk if its better than OEM, its not really a preformace part. i was just happy with the way the power came back. hadnt had it in a while.
