well i want some mor braking power in the front maybe the rear as well. do they have bigger disk i could buy maybe drilled and slotted.. also is there any rear disk that will switch over?? thanks

i can lock all 4 tires up with 31" tires if i stand on the pedal...you should easily be able to do the same with your smaller tires.

if your still convinced you need to upgrade, dual piston calipers from a 95+ would be a good investment. if you want rear discs in the back, your easiest bet is a explorer 8.8, but it requires some fab work.

thanks man i will look into the calipers. i think i will to to disks in the back as well after i do the coilovers and 4 link.

Might want to fix what's broken.

If you can lock all four wheels, you can't stop the vehicle any faster even if you put 20 foot disks on it.

If you can't lock all four wheels, your truck is broken. Wicked has the same truck you do.

I swapped discs onto the back of my Explorer and it improved the braking quite a bit....especially on the trail. Before the rear discs I would really have to stand on the pedal to lock my tires up. But I run 12.5" wide 35s and you run small tires. So you should already have plenty of power to lock up. As MAKG said, once you can lock your tires up, you will see no increase in stopping power by upgrading the brakes, unless you're experiencing fade. If you are, I would question your driving habits...

I have upgraded brakes on my truck. But all I have to say for them is that yes I do feel like I have more brake power, but overall my abs will still kick in just like stock and the biggest adantage is when I tow my jeep it takes alot more to cause the brakes to fade or overheat.
