Not any more than anything else. The Bronco is a Ford, even has an oval on the tailgate. 'tis a Ford thru and thru.

I was just using that opportunity to show how I feel about the Mach-E. As long as anything with the Bronco name isn’t similar to that thing, we’re good.

If the Mach-E didn't use the Mustang name, I might actually like it. It's not even the 'E' part that I have a problem with. But a 4 door Mustang? The sacrilege is overwhelming.

Ford toyed with the idea back in the 60's, that one still looked like a Mustang though.

Might actually have been a cool idea if it was an electric super car or something, like the one bmw makes.

That is the way it was announced, originally as a Mach 1.

At least they changed the name from Mach 1...

Weird how what they made and what they said they were going to make are almost exact opposites.

I mean... people didn't like it and tried to pretend it didn't exist. Sounds about like where we stand on the Mach E.

People must have liked them, they sold very well. The second year was within 10% of the first generation's production record. Done up right they don't have to look too terrible.

They always sell the most coupes but they never look as good as the fastback/hatchback version no matter the generation IMO... especially the ones that preceded the Mustang II (71-73)

That happened, and we all let it happen.

WE did not let this happen. Some of WE weren’t even alive when that happened.
I’m part of the generation that stopped this from happening...

I almost bought a probe once. Almost.

Have a friend that has a newer GTO, a guy asked him if was a Probe. That was pretty funny.

I don't even have a strong opinion about the Probe. It's a cheap small FWD car with (for it's time) reasonable performance.

But if they'd actually gone through with calling it a Mustang...

It was kind of a sporty little thing, if not for the Mustang thing I think it would have done a lot better on its own.
