Modding pivot drops, need opinions

Unless you got some distortion in your camera's lens, I think I see the tires (passengerside in particular) flexed inward a bit like the toe is off.

I have to agree, you got MUCH bigger issues to take care of there first than a measly little bit of positive camber on one side... :shok:

Edit:
didn't see this until after I posted...
Ea I know the angles are bad, and I'm going to put a drop pitman on there, but do I need a extreme drop pitman with those 2.5" drops brackets? But yea I'm finding another alignment shop anyways. Sometimes the camber doesn't look that badbut other times it looks worse. I think I'm gonna put the drop pitman arm on it(would the regular drop pitman be fine? Its a lot cheaper) then get some 4" skyjacker drop brackets and use some washers (in the 4" hole) and camber bushings to dial it in. I'm getting new tires pretty soon and I waant the front end right to not eat them up.

So when they set the toe first then camber the toe is prolly out?

With your setup you're gonna be right in between where a FA400 and FA600 arm would be, being you have bigger coils in there than your brackets. I'd probably get the FA600 arm just so you have it should you decide to go to 4" or bigger drops (which might be needed anyway if you can't get things straightened out the way it is).

Yes, toe is the FINAL item they should be adjusting.

ok thanks guys. Guess I'm off to summit once again for a extreme drop arm. When I do get my alignment at the new place I'm gettn the "lifetime" so when I do the drop pitman if camber is still off I won't be wasting money on alignments

Dealer based on what you said about how the camber looks different at different times, I'm guessing a bad toe setting.

Lifetime alignment is a good idea, I've used mine now 6 times and only spent a total of $200 ($140 for the original alignment and $30 for new bushings, twice).

Just went to town, and I looked at the camber in the parking lot. When I turned it it put the tie rod at the right setting and I had a good bit of negative camber, the drivers tire has a lot more positive then usual and I measure ride height for each side. Drivers side was jacked due to suspension jacking and pass side was normal. So I gues the bad angles and the way the steering moves is causeing jacking and my camber problems.

Hard to explain but with the wheels turned that way the pass side ie rod was a lot flatter then usual and drivers side steeper

Thanks guys for helping me figure it out, and I printed that link and will make sure they do the toe last

with the drop brackets and lowered coil bukcets, i'd get one for a 4" lift. someone correct me if i'm wrong, but the extreme drop pitman is for 6" lifts

here's what i would do......

put the coil buckets back where they're supposed to be, get some 4" drop brackets for your 4" coils, get a 4" drop pitman arm, then align it, then wheel it

oh and btw, what kind of tires are those, they look pretty cool

The FA600 actually drops a true 4" so it technically works best with 4" of lift. However, people with up 6" of lift use it because it gets their steering linkage down further than a standard drop pitman arm (which only really drops 2" or so).

oh, well shit....i think i only have a 2" drop pitman arm. i hope i dont need a FA600

oh shit, you need a drop pitman arm bad!

The buckets are where they are supposed to be, and the tires are wild country mtx. Gonna be getting a drop pitman and see how that works out

If you go the route of the FA600, I think Jim sells them about $12 cheaper than anywhere else I could find.
