That picture is amazingly clear!! I like how the odometer is clear, but the speedo is kinda blurry.

Mine will be turning 150,000 by this summer. Or maybe 250,000 (the truck is in too good of condition to be 250k), I hate how it rolls over at 100k...
It's at about 146k now.

Well, you younguns might respect an old dude then...

367,399

That was actually from my first truck but I transplanted the odometer...this truck had about 250,000 on it when I got it...and I don't know how you got such a clear picture of your odo becuase mine would not photograph...

I used a Nikon D300, and a 105mm f/2.8 VR micro (macro) lens........

Bob Ayers got a Nikon Camera he love to take a photographs Mama don't take his kodachrome away.

"you sure about that? last time i checked 666 = devils number"

I won't get into that in this forum, but that number, according to some, actually represents influences that try to control our minds...and if you think about government, big business, and the media (organized religion may also be tossed into this)...you might see how that fits...they are all sick, sick, sick... with their greed and they all have many ways to control the way we think...

Bob:

"I used a Nikon D300, and a 105mm f/2.8 VR micro (macro) lens.."

Well that might explain the clarity...I tried it with an inexpensive digital camera and all I got was flashback...when I tried it without the flash it came out so blurry I couldn't read the numbers...

I had flash on, but I shot that photo from a side angle. I couldn't do it at first because of the dust, but once I wiped the dust it wasn't a problem so much.

I'm using an Olypmus Stylus 710 if you want to know.

Bob, I noticed you take some really high quality photos, is it your profession or just a hobby?

I feel left out, I have a 94 and I just rolled over 98,000 and mine has 6 digits so that one has been waiting a long time to show it self, soon enough i guess.

I have a pair of 2.3L '93s. 2WD has over 220K and runs like a top. 4WD is dead in the garage undergoing a turbo swap.

Thanks for your post!! It's only a hobby.......I'm just an amateur photographer, still learning!!!

Bob, I see you own a 61 Ford Galaxie...I had a 62 Galaxie 500 2 door that was in mint condition (my second car). Unfortunately, the 352 that my dad put in it was not the best running motor and I ended up scrapping it...after someone dented up the rear end in a parking lot...:pissedoff:

Are you restoring it or do you have pics of that car??? I loved the body style of the 2 doors without the center post...but they were HEAVY vehicles and really needed a good V8 to push all that metal around...it originally had the 250 straight 6 (or was it a 252???)...don't see too many of them around these days...

Hi Mark, thanks for asking about my Galaxie! My aunt & uncle bought it new, and I've had it since they passed away about 13 years ago. The car is all original, it's never been restored in any way, and it only has a little over 26K miles on it. As you can see, it has always been garaged. The spare tire has never been moved since it was installed at the factory, the whitewall still has the blue coating on it, as you can see from the pictures. All documentation (every registration, inspection receipt, even down to the window sticker) was in the glovebox. Here is a link to some photos:

'61 Galaxy

Bob

I had the same car, same color, same interior. Only difference was mine was a starliner. When I bought it, it was a straight six, manual three-speed. Dropped a 289 in it and had a whole lot of fun!

Verrrrry Nice! I see it has the 352 in it (my friends used to call it a boat anchor)...and that windshield washer fluid bag brings back memories...

Thanks for the link to the pics...that was a trip down memory lane...mine was maroon...and they took the rear fins off in 62...

My dad had a similar 61 or 63 (can't remember now) Mercury Meteor...the one with the 'breezeway' rear windows that were tilted inward at the back...it was actually a nice feature because with 7 kids packed into it and only two window seats the guys in the middle at least got some fresh air...
