subs are nice. and keep in mind that you dont have to get carried away. most people think they need the biggest sub and the most powerful amp they can afford...when usually a couple of 8's driven by a 2 channel amp would fill the sound in nicely without breaking the band or sacrificing tons of room.

I was thinking of going with a single 12 inch sub, powered by a 1200 watt amp. I have a thread about it somewhere in here.. with box diagrams and whatnot.

I'd probably only use it when listening to stuff MEANT to have bass. Like my random techno, rap, or industrial urges. Otherwise, my speakers bass capabilities suit me just fine.
