Might be trading in the ranger...

very rare? i dont know about that. my brother used to have a stealth that was no turbo and cloth. it was a fun little car

Yeah no turbo but still probably hauls. 5spd 220 hp 3.0. New tranny and clutch, Japenese designed this thing will never quit. My only concern is the insurence is gonna go through the roof

Never quit eh? We had one in the community college that had been to every shop in town because they couldn't figure it out or spend the time on it. Two of my friends figured out the problem and fixed it. The owner complained about how long it took to fix.

First of all, after watching Obamas commencement speech the other night I pretty much fully agree with your avator pic..ummm..yeah. People shouldnt complain, especially presidents. What was wrong with the car

JUNK, no joke. Keep the ranger. Those things are heavy as hell and they suck back the gas. Almost 200km, thats about 3/4 life on one of these cars and thats if it was maintained right...

just my 00.02 cents

Well cause everyones a prognosticator now, you gotta be careful huh. From what I've read up so far theyre not too bad on gas, around 18-24mpg. I'll do a little more reading...

not worth it, that thing is a dodge version of the mitsubishi 3000GT, heavy as hell, yeah they have big engine, but for cruising, not to be thinking as if its a sports car, i saw one mitsu at a 1/4 mile strip, same as that one, auto non turbo, and let me tell u, that thing is slow, it started speeding when the strip was ending, couldnt win a single race, if i were u, deff keep the ranger, i bet that 4.0 can give more adrenaline rush than that dodge...thing

i had one before i got my ranger and it was a fun car but like was stated previously its not to quick short run but in the long run they do move nice. that car handled nice as well. i needed a truck thats the only reason i got rid of mine

I've grown up in a Chrysler family, aside from the 2 Rangers, the last non Chrysler vehicle we owned was was a 1976 Oldsmobile Omega. Let me tell you, those cars a money pits, they look nice, and that is about it, people get into the habit of keeping them looking nice, even after the worth of doing so is gone. For $4500 with nearly 200 000km, the car is done, and I wouldn't be paying much more then $1500...MAX. Cars now are cheap, and spending that amount of money there is sure to leave you with heartache. Hell I bought my 2001 PT for $5500, and it had only 150 000km at the time, and it came next to fully loaded, the only options it didn't have was leather and the sunroof. I say keep on looking. You can probably find a Dodge Avenger in the same quality area for a fraction of the price.

I couldn't tell you what exactly was wrong with the car as I didn't work on it. Two of my friends did. It had to do with the trans, which had recently been rebuilt because one of the shops thought that was the problem. The trans would shift through the gears manually, but on the road it wouldn't shift from 2nd to 3rd I believe. They ended up ripping pretty much the entire interior out and checking all grounds/tracing all wires to transmission and what not. It took a good 3 months to figure it out. They ended up replacing the computer/PCM or the TCM, I don't remember for sure.
