On the dana 35 ttb can i use the same u-joint to replace the middle one near the carrier as i would the outer ones (spicer 5-760x)??? Need to know if i should buy two or three when i do.

thanks

On the Outboards I tend to use the "extra strength"
(Non-greaseable because they are not drilled through)
but in the inner one that will NEVER experience steep
angles like the outers I prefer the greaseable ones.

Infact I insist on a greaseable joint there because that
one is a REAL bastard to change:)

I don't trust front axle C-clip eliminators...

I don't see why, they have been proven with some serious abuse without problems.

when I can get my hands on an appropriatly sized two piece screw clamp collar to
act as a stop for the spring....

does spicer have a greasable version of the 5-760x u-joints??? if so maybe wherever i end up buying them will be able to look it up.

There is no 760 greasable joint. You'll have to get a 297 if you want one.

so on the passenger side shaft running a spring eliminates the c-clip, further simplifying shaft changes and pumkin removal, but what about the drivers side shaft???

Can i just remove the c-clip in the drivers side and the pumkin will keep the shaft in???

How well does this work with the Dana 28 front end? Any particular spring that works better than another? Hope to have mine apart soon changing gears. IIRC a valve spring is what is often used?
