I got mile marker hubs and the conversion kits delivered to Hawaii for $205. No more clunk in 4x4.
I still have a question though.... The reason that this happened is because of a PAVED 4x4 road. This road goes diagonally down a valley wall without any switchbacks and in places it is beyond steep. Everybody uses 4x4 up and down this road. If you dont understand google map Waipio valley on the big island or just google it. It saddens me that Toyota trucks are driving up and down this road all day and it broke my truck. Now i understand how shitty my hubs were but without any type of locker my hubs should chew my tires to shit way before something breaks. I hope these hubs are stronger. Should i drive this hill without the 4x4 or just assume you guys have never seen anything like this road before? i can assure you the underground 4x4ing in hawaii is off the charts.
