Message for the forum staff

Folks,

I've been around for almost three years. I was around back in 2003(ish), with my 1985 Ranger, too. I came back when I bought the 1990 in 2016, because I remembered this forum from back when I was here before. In those days, it was a friendly place, with people always willing to help a guy out of a jam. It still is, today. In the near three years that I've been back here, I've made some good friends, so when I traded the Ranger for my Taurus, I decided to stick around.

You guys (and girls?) work hard to make this place what it is. You put up with a lot of crap from us (me, included), and yet you keep right on going. I'm writing this to acknowledge you, the work that you do, and the people you are. You juggle your real life responsibilities with helping us out, and I appreciate it.

Thank you!! It seems so inadequate, but I want to offer my thanks anyway.

This forum by far is the best one I've ever been a member of, and to my knowledge the only forum with a huge dedicated how to and tech section library full of awesome ideas, tips, tricks, anything you probably could think of. Granted this forum didn't save my 84 B2 it made be buy a newer model an 88 EB B2...and if I knew now what I had no idea about in the late 90's and early 00's with the carb/computer nonsense on the 2.8L V6 engines I'd still have my 84 Ranger .

Everyone on this forum has some sort of knowledge good bad or sarcastic, its what keeps a forum alive. The Bronco 2 Corral Forum is pretty hit and miss sadly seems everyone has a Ranger instead so I find myself over here far more often than the Bronco 2 Corral, but try and check on that forum occasionally as well. The Bronco 2 Corral is just a TRS page for the Bronco 2 itself pretty cool it got its own forum site though.

Ive been on this forum for 18 years. I may stray from time to time but its by far the best forum ive ever visited and im proud to say im a member.

I doubt @fastpakr @Jim Oaks @85_Ranger4x4 and others im forgetting are proud to admit they allowed me to stay though.

Wow! As many times as I've seen this post on the list, it only has/d three posts!? This really is a great forum, with some great folks running it, and some great folks dwelling here. I also am very happy to have found it, and I'd like to say thank you to you all

I'm sorry, Floored, but I gotta respectfully disagree with you. The staff AND the users make this place great.

The staff set the tone and atmosphere. The members/users give it life.

There was only one other forum that I belonged to that was the same and it fell victim to hackers and a absentee “landlord” that didn’t have the time or interest in maintaining the forum as it should be.

Wtf?!?! I know I'm the new kid here and all, but sheesh, Jim even yells at me for one 'yo mamma' joke. You get to poop in the furnace all day? Pfft. I see where I stand.



In my experience, it's the staff that create the atmosphere, and the users that abide by and push the boundaries thereof. This place couldn't exist without the perfect balance the staff create, and the weirdos that contribute everything from wiring diagrams to stolen lawn tractor trailer rants.

In all sincerity, this site is more than likely why half the Rangers out there are still on the road today; 100% true in the case of mine, would have gotten rid of it if not for TRS.

Thanks to all. You kept a Ford in my driveway, and taught me to be a better mechanic than even my father did.

I've been around here a long time, let's just say that the search engine I used to find this place isn't around anymore. I've seen a lot of people come and go. I've met some good friends (one of which was a groomsman at my wedding).
The staff has always done a great job. The rest of the members have, for the most part, been good people.
