Hello, and Help.. have come to the site before but now am an owner of a 89 ranger with the mazda m50 trans, I think I screwed up and pulled the wrong plug out to check the fluid, I pulled out a 17mm plug on the passenger side just before the extension housing about half way up. fluid gushed out so I put it right back in and tightened it, after consulting a few threads in the group I may have pulled the wrong one out, did I mess something up, like maybe it is a locking bolt of some kind? thanks for any help Bogus123

the drain and fill are on the driver side when sitting in the vehicle. they are marked on the case and actually say "drain" and "Fill. I would just put it back in, fill it with fluid and go. I don't see a problem with fluid coming out. if you put more back in.
